FOREST HACKS IN TRADITIONAL ENGLISH SADDLE
The New Forest is very picturesque throughout the year. You can enjoy forest hacks across the open heathland amongst the wild ponies and foals and on into the inclosures, riding along tree lined avenues and leafy glades. You may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the wild deer.
We offer Beginner Rides and 90 min Forest Hacks. These are either with others in a group or private rides just for you. Hacks are not available on Mondays or Weekends.
Children or nervous riders can be lead.
- Holiday Hack Beginner Forest Ride – is a 75 minute riding session, for 10 yrs and over, which starts in the arena with a beginner lesson for 15 mins or so, where we will settle you on your mount and help you with start stop and to steer before setting out into the forest for the rest of the 75 mins. The Hack will be at walk pace and will take you out over the open forest greens riding amongst the wild ponies and foals. We often escort this hack on foot so as to be close by to assist younger or nervous riders. Cost is £45 each or we offer a family ticket at £42.50 each for four or more riders. Holiday Hacks are only available on selected Midweek dates between April and September
- 90 min Group Walk and Trot Hacks in traditional saddle for riders over 12, who are competent in and able to show control at rising trot before riding out. We do not canter gallop or jump on these rides. Hacks are only available on selected Midweek dates between April and September with 90 min hacks costing £57.
- 90 min Private Hacks in traditional saddle for riders over 12, who are competent in and able to show control at paces up to canter before riding out or, for Beginner riders who would prefer to ride privately with our Ride Leader. Private Hacks are available on selected Midweek dates ( not holiday weeks) between April and September at £95 per rider.
